Prioritizing Personal Growth Goals

What if we prioritized personal growth goals as much as formal education?

Our world, and your life, would be very different.

Hateful attacks would be eliminated because people would look within themselves to find the source of their negativity and then heal those emotional wounds.

Conflict and war would disappear because we wouldn’t have the need for power over and control over other people and resources because we would know with absolute certainty that we are enough and that there is enough for all when we share and work together.

Separation, rejection and marginalization of others would cease, as we would be able to see ourselves in others, and realize that despite having different values, or experiences, that we are all the same and belong to one tribe.

Harming and hurting people would end, because we would heal the wounds that closed our hearts, so that we could love unconditionally, and be kind and compassionate to all those around us.

Overreactions and being offended and taking things personally would not happen, because we would have realized the shadow aspects in ourselves that we had yet to own and done the work to heal and integrate those pieces of ourselves.

A very different world indeed.

And one that we are heading toward as we emerge from the adolescent stage of humanity’s existence.

The chaos in the world today is a symptom of the dysfunction that is surfacing to be healed. This is a good thing, albeit wildly unpredictable and extremely unpleasant.

It’s easy to get disheartened and want to give up. And, you get to choose your perspective.

I have chosen to believe that humanity is evolving, and that sometimes it can look like we’re regressing, when in fact we’re facing the dysfunction that has been buried for so long and is now out on the table for all to see… and to heal, if we’re willing.

Are you prioritizing personal growth goals as much as formal education?

It takes more than strategy, intellect and communication skills to be a successful business person… it also takes mental and emotional acumen.

The personal evolution spiral is a rewarding one, and a key ingredient in a fulfilling and successful life. There will always be something to work on to step into the next best version ourselves. And we need to balance our inner growth with our outer growth, and set goals for each.

What would it take for you to plan and implement your own empowering personal growth journey? One that allows you to improve yourself in all areas; mentally, emotionally, spiritually and physically, and not just intellectually which our culture prizes.

Leave a comment and let me know what you’re planning. I’d love to hear from you.
